BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – With two weeks to go before its season opener at Florida on Sept. 1, football season tickets sales are up 30% from last season.  Season ticket renewals are at 92% compared to 83% last year and more than 500 new season tickets have been sold.
This marks the second year of Bowling Green’s partnership with Collegiate Consulting to sell tickets for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and ice hockey. BGSU saw an overall ticket sales increase of 35% during Collegiate Consulting’s first full year.  BGSU’s General Manager of Ticket Sales & Services, Scott Friedman, stated, “We are pleased with the results thus far and encouraged by football new season ticket sales and very strong renewal percentage for the 2012 season.  Our sales team’s outbound sales efforts led by Account Executive, Mark Hazel have paid dividends this summer and our goal is to fill up Doyt Perry Stadium for the 2012 season.  This also marks the highest season ticket base, since the 2003 season when Urban Meyer was the head football coach.

BGSU opens its six give home schedule on Sept 8 when it hosts Idaho. The Falcons will also host Rhode Island (Sept 29 – Homecoming) Miami (Oct 13) Eastern Michigan (Oct 27), Kent State (Nov 17), and conclude with Buffalo (Nov 23) at Columbus Crew Stadium.
