ATLANTA, Ga. – Collegiate Consulting announced Kyle Waters has been hired as the general manager of ticket sales & service at Purdue University. Mr. Waters, a California native, attended the University of Oregon where he received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Business.
Since completing his degree, Mr. Waters has achieved great success in the both the collegiate and professional sports industries. During his tenure with the University of Oregon Athletic Department, he contributed to signing a Top 10 NCAA recruiting class ranked by ESPN. In 2005 Mr. Waters joined the Seattle Supersonic & Seattle Storm and within three years he had established himself as the top individual revenue producer in the WNBA .
Mr. Waters enters his position at Purdue with over ten years of experience in the sports marketplace, including seven years of selling experience and several years of management experience. “His consistent ability to exceed ticket sales goals as well as become a leader in his field made him a favorable candidate and an outstanding addition to the Purdue athletics department,” stated Collegiate Consulting Managing Director Russell Wright.
When asked about this new opportunity, Mr. Waters said “I’m very excited to be involved in the collegiate marketplace once again. I think my experiences in the professional sports arena will help us to be very successful at Purdue.”
Mr. Waters began his position at Purdue on March 9. Collegiate Consulting is managing ticket sales for all of Purdue’s ticketed sports; in addition to the General Manager four additional ticket sales personnel will join Mr. Waters.
