KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Nations Group was recently selected by the University of Missouri – Kansas City, to perform owners representation and project management services for the renovation of Municipal Auditorium in Downtown Kansas City as part of UMKC basketball’s return to Municipal. Collegiate Consulting introduced strategic partner, Nations Group, an Owners Representation firm, to its long time client UMKC.

Nations Group participated in the feasibility stage of the project conducted by 360 Architecture. Nations Group is also assisting the University and the City of Kansas City by partnering in a long-term agreement, which will include capital improvements that will service both entities for years to come. “We are honored to represent UMKC in partnership with the City on this exciting project,” said Chris Nations, Nations Group Principal.
The Western Athletic Conference recently selected UMKC as its newest member for the 2013-14 academic year, and the University has hired Kareem Richardson as its new head men’s basketball coach. Prior to joining UMKC, Richardson was an assistant under legendary head coach Rick Pitino at the University of Louisville, helping the Cardinals earn the 2013-14 Division I National Championship.

Built in 1934, the Arena is a historic landmark in Kansas City. The arena hosted three of the first four Final Fours and remains a host for the NAIA Men’s Division I Basketball National Tournament.
