Collegiate Consulting Completes FAMU Operational Study
TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Collegiate Consulting has been retained by Florida A&M University following the firm’s two-month operational review of the University’s athletic department. As part of the study, Collegiate Consulting evaluated the Rattlers’ athletic facilities, including Bragg Memorial Stadium. The Atlanta-based company also assessed the department’s organizational structure and examined current external revenue generation. “Collegiate Consulting provided us with a very thorough and intricate analysis of our program,” said Florida A&M University Interim Athletic Director Michael Smith. “We’re excited to retain Russell Wright and his staff as we work to build upon decades of success nationally and in the MEAC.”
Collegiate Consulting’s final report included all of the firm’s findings during its review and on-campus visit in September, benchmarking against peer institutions and a timeline of recommendations to create efficiencies and maximize resources.
Collegiate Consulting and its strategic partner, Nations Wright, will continue to provide insight for FAMU’s athletic staff. Nations Wright is an Owners Representation firm specializing in project management of sports and entertainment venues, collegiate facilities, municipal projects, charter schools, and private sector commercial projects. Together, the two companies will identify and aid in facility renovation management for FAMU. Collegiate Consulting will also help the Rattlers develop additional fundraising and development strategies to support capital growth.
“Florida A&M’s athletic program has been very competitive and is respected nationwide,” stated Collegiate Consulting Managing Director Russell Wright. “We have made an exhaustive list of recommendations for their department to build off of their ongoing success, and we appreciate the opportunity to stay with FAMU as we see those recommendations through.”
