With over 30 years of higher education experience, Gregg Fort has worked with Collegiate Consulting since its founding in 2006 as a senior consultant. Gregg’s primary focus is organizational transformation, revenue generation and strategy development.
Professionally, Gregg recently served four years as the Vice President for College Advancement and Campaign Manager at Hartwick College in Oneonta (NY) where he completed a $35 million capital campaign. He coordinated all aspects of the college’s fundraising, alumni, governmental and media relations efforts. In addition, Gregg oversaw the NCAA multi-divisional Hawk intercollegiate athletic program and also developed the plan and strategy to add e-sports at Hartwick in 2018.
Prior to his time in Oneonta, he served three years as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Hilbert College and for five years as the Assistant Vice President for Advancement at DePaul University before become the vice president at Hilbert.
The McKinney, Texas native also serves as the president and CEO of The Fort Group. Established in 1999, TFG is a company specializes in higher education administration, campaign development and the consultation of corporate clients.
Before this tenure at DePaul, Gregg spent over 20 years as an athletics administrator including serving as the Executive Director of the Big Red Fund at UIC, increasing athletic giving by over 70% in one year. Fort also served for three years as the associate athletic director at FIU, coordinating the department’s external efforts, including athletic development, marketing, radio and television, community and media relations, tickets, licensing and corporate sponsorships.
In addition, he spearheaded the FIU Football Stadium project and generated over $5.7 million dollars in revenue during his three years. Fort also served as a member of the Golden Panther broadcast team as a color analyst on football and basketball broadcasts.
Gregg also served for a decade at Stephen F. Austin State University rising to associate athletic director for external affairs and capital campaign director.
Married to Nicci Hays Fort, an assistant women’s basketball coach at Drake University, Gregg resides both in Iowa and Texas.
