LOUDONVILLE, N. Y.Siena College has announced it will partner with Collegiate Consulting to increase ticket sales and revenue. Collegiate Consulting will assist the Saints by adding professional sales people to the athletic department’s Office of Fan and Corporate Development. Collegiate Consulting will focus on season and group sales for all ticketed athletic programs, including men’s and women’s basketball.
“We are excited to have Siena join the Collegiate Consulting ticket family,” said Jason Lai, VP of Ticketing Sales & Services for Collegiate Consulting.  “Siena has a long tradition of athletic excellence and a loyal fan base. We look forward to helping the Saints expand their footprint, enhance their ticketing services and increase their fan base.”

Collegiate Consulting will hire a staff of three – a director of ticket sales and two account executives to complement Siena’s current staff of three that includes a box office coordinator and two sales assistants. The Atlanta-based firm now provides ticketing solutions to nine Division I athletics departments, including: Purdue University, Rice University, Bowling Green University, Seattle University, Missouri State University, Oral Roberts University, California State University Bakersfield and Siena.

“Siena has a strong foundation of proactively selling tickets, and we feel this partnership with Collegiate Consulting will expand our outreach, increase revenue and develop new fans,” stated Director of Athletics John D’Argenio.

Collegiate Consulting will seek to capitalize on a men’s basketball schedule that is extremely fan-friendly. Eight of the Saints’ final nine games fall on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, days that have typically produced the highest crowds. In June, Siena basketball at the Times Union Center was named by the Albany Times Union the “Best College/Pro Sporting Event in The Past Year”. The men’s team averaged over 6,500 fans per game in the 2011-12 season, the highest in the MAAC and three times more than the next-closest team, Iona. The women’s program has renewed interest in the area with first-year head coach Ali Jaques at the helm.
