SIAC Engages Collegiate Consulting for Membership Project

ATLANTA, GA (February 8, 2018) – In Greg Moore’s 10 years as commissioner of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Conference has experienced unprecedented growth and success across many platforms, including corporate sponsorship, visibility, branding, attendance and membership.

It was for the Conference’s recent membership initiative, which resulted in Savannah State’s return to Division II and SIAC membership, that the SIAC engaged Collegiate Consulting to assist in their efforts.

This was the fourth project Collegiate Consulting has conducted for Commissioner Moore and the SIAC. Previous projects included a Compliance Review, Annual Salary & Budget Survey and Strategic Plan. The recently completed project was a Comprehensive Membership Study and analysis illustrating the benefits of SIAC membership to Savannah State. Components of the Collegiate Consulting study were utilized during the SIAC presentation to Savannah State prior to their decision in December to rejoin the Conference.

“Collegiate Consulting has been a great resource for myself and the Conference,” Commissioner Moore said. “There was significant competition from other Division II conferences to attract Savannah State and it was extremely beneficial to have Collegiate Consulting’s staff to support our efforts.”

Savannah State completed and submitted its Division II application on February 1. The University will join Division II and become a member of the SIAC starting with the 2018-19 athletic year.
