BGSU Breaks Through $1M Ticket Sales Mark
Falcons’ Revenue Increased 70 Percent Since Partnering With Collegiate Consulting
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – With the end of the academic year in sight, Bowling Green State University realized ticket revenue of nearly $1.1 million, exclusive of suite sales. BGSU has increased its ticket sales revenue by over 70 percent since partnering with Collegiate Consulting almost three years ago.
The strongest growth came from Football season ticket holders as it increased by over 80 percent since Collegiate Consulting’s sales staff began on campus.
“Our sales methodology and the execution of growing the fan base in-market was a fresh new approach to Bowling Green,” said Collegiate Consulting Vice President of Ticket Sales & Services Jason Lai. “Our Bowling Green football season ticket holders have been a great foundation. Our staff has done a fantastic job of providing unparalleled customer service and fantastic gameday atmosphere.”
Bill Applebee, General Manager of Ticket Sales at BGSU, and his sales staff also generated over $80,000 in group ticket revenue. The Falcons’ Youth Football Day during team’s home game versus Toledo sold over 700 tickets alone. The event included a fan tunnel experience and team picture on the field after the game.
In the firm’s first full year on campus, Collegiate Consulting increased ticket sales revenue by over 35 percent. That same year, men’s basketball ticket revenue increased by over 85 percent while women’s basketball ticket revenue shot up by over 90 percent.
