Job Description: Bellarmine University has an immediate opening for a full-time head coach for Men's Lacrosse Division I. In collaboration with the Director of Athletics, the incumbent will be charged with leading Bellarmine's Men's Lacrosse Team and is expected to identify, evaluate and recruit student-athletes that can be successful academically, socially and athletically in a Division I environment.
Specific duties include:
- Player development (practice planning and skill instruction, game management, attention to academics and commitment to community service)
- Recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes;
- Oversight of all administrative responsibilities (scheduling, team travel, balancing the budget, and hiring, supervising and evaluating assistant coaches);
- Cultivating relationships with alumni and working with Athletics Department staff members around fundraising, special events and appearances.
It is expected that the successful candidate will abide by all written policies and procedures of, the Department of Athletics, Bellarmine University, the Southern Conference, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

The Athletics Department is committed to supporting the coach with academic advisors to ensure student athlete success in the classroom. The Athletics Department offers comprehensive sports performance with the support of team physicians, athletic trainers and strength and conditioning staff members.

The candidate must have great understanding of Bellarmine's mission and philosophy in relation to care of and development of the whole person.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and three to five years of high level coaching at the collegiate level. One to three years of head coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred. Playing experience at the collegiate level preferred. Individuals with knowledge or understanding of mid-major universities are highly sought after.
